Data Warehouse Specialist/Developer

We are currently seeking a Data Warehouse Specialist/Developer to design, develop, implement and support Viewpoint®, our K-12 data warehouse solution, and data integration utilities. This position will work with Product Specialists, our customers and other software developers to maintain and enhance our products and services.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, implement and maintain ETL (extract, transform, load) processes to extract data from Student Information Systems, assessment systems and other customer data sources and convert extracted data into formats required by data warehouse solution.

  • Ensure data accuracy.

  • Conduct root cause analysis and resolve production problems and data issues.

  • Write stored procedures for loading data and generating reports.

  • Design, develop, implement, and maintain web (and desktop) based solutions to enhance and monitor the ETL processes for collecting data, staging data, cleansing data, standardizing data, and publishing data into our data warehouse solution.

  • Provide regular written and verbal communications to management, team and customers concerning projects and efforts. Provide input into team planning and direction.

Basic Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's Degree in MIS or related field required. Additional technology related experience may be used in lieu of higher education (two years of experience in lieu of each year of higher education).

  • Experience working with data stored in a relational database environment. Minimum of four years' experience or equivalent proficiency with SQL database technology.

  • Solid understanding of data, database structures, data warehousing concepts and data modeling.

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience with school district data.

  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server Enterprise Edition including Microsoft SSIS.

  • Experience working with spreadsheet applications to assist in importing data.

  • Programming experience using C# and Microsoft Visual Studio.

  • Strong problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple competing tasks at the same time.

Product Support Specialist

The Product Support Specialist is a software application expert, responsible for delivering services and application support to cmERDC customers. Support and service delivery can include phone support, on-line support, product and process documentation creation, content creation and delivery of training videos and implementation management.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides software application support to customers through various delivery methods to include phone support, email and on-line discussions.

  • Creates software application training curriculum, user documentation for content delivery to clients.

  • Manages client implementations to ensure exceptional customer experience.

  • Serves as product evangelist by understanding the intersection of customer needs with delivered value and application functionality.

  • Participates in the development and delivery of product marketing campaigns.

  • Participates and provides input into the development of product roadmap.

Requirements:

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

  • Excellent organizational skills.

  • Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment.

  • Experience creating video content through screen recording and editing tools.

  • Experience with multiple social media platforms .

  • Strong problem solving skills.

  • Some travel required − Must have valid driver's license.

Education Experience: 

  • Bachelor's degree preferred with an emphasis in business, communications, marketing, education or information technology.
